Art is a beautiful tool for impacting the world, and Danfo is a wonderful dimension of art that has been unexplored in Lagos for decades. In this read we will be sharing how Mr. Danfo is impacting the world of art with the geometric artworks inspired by Lagos ‘Danfo’.

Danfo was curated by Linus Seidougha Eyimiegha who is also known as Mr. Danfo, to replicate the streets of Lagos and the activities of people who live there. His art is simply inspired by the streets of Lagos which is flooded by its people and their everyday hustle and bustle as they journey through life.

Using simple geometrics patterns, Mr. Danfo dares to impact the world with stories about Lagos by getting people engage in conversations about the not-too-friendly situations that people who live in Lagos experience. The symbolism of this work is intentional as it makes it easier for everyone to absorb the situation of Lagos and talk about it in a way that provokes the desire to change the status quo.
